East Herts Hospital Radio prides itself on having a high standard of studio and broadcast facilities.
Our studio is equipped with a professional broadcast mixer, and audio sources are CD, MiniDisc and cassette, with the facility to plug in a laptop computer if a particular presenter wants to operate that way.
We don't yet have our own automated sustaining service, although we are continuously reconsidering this. As a sustain service we rebroadcast BBC Radio 4; this come from a DAB radio receiver - so don't set your watch by the pips as they'll be about 2 seconds late!!
We are fortunate that two of our members have worked as engineers in major broadcast companies and broadcast equipment suppliers, so our installation is as good as any professional radio station. |
